This is My Blog

I write exactly how I like to write. You can mock me, you can tempt me, you can try to persuade me differently. It won’t matter. This is my blog.

I am going to tell my stories, share my poems, and share with the world my perspective. I wrote my Dreams, and now I am working on a bit more than just those. I am working right now. This is my site. I am doing my work, like some do the Lord’s work, and that is merely so.

Did you know that I have a lot to say? I bet you think it doesn’t matter.

Guess what? It does. Everything we say matters. Everything we do, matters. We’ve already deducted it down to our gestures, but our actions do often speak louder than words. I learn this everyday, because I am imperfect. I am flawed, broken, beat-up, broke, and maybe even on my last lung. But that won’t stop me. I was once a cavalryman, and although not their best, I served.

Now begins my tales. Now begins my stories. Now begins my beginnings. Now begins my adverbs and passages and posts that share with the world, my personal views on current events, news and even celebrity gossip. There’s nothing I won’t cover, because what I cover is my perspective. Note: I might seem like I am rambling at times, but bare with me.

I love life. What do I love about life? The Arts. I love entertainment. As an American, I often venture into my mind and drift away aloft by the ideas and concepts that Directors dream up. I am always so fascinated by their stories.

The Arts. They captivate me. They move me. They drive me. I feel them, and they influence me everyday. I’m a bit of an artist myself, and I like to liken myself to “The Greatest Poet Alive”. Perhaps for gaffes, if anyone notices I want them to take it rather seriously. I also bid thee to read thy book, Mecella’s Dreams.

I am a poet, and I love to write. But more so, I love to make sense of things. I have done so on my own regard, but along the way I have, as my poetry depicts, become enveloped in sin. Man sins, and Women must win. They always win, for we always sin, yes we men, into another day. Why do I so heavily objectify men as to be the cause of major worry and concerns?

War.

But beyond that, I will talk more. Not now. I merely have my own perspective about what is going on. For if I didn’t, I would think that it were the other way around, and it can’t be, right?

Right?

Maybe my thoughts will come off as cynical, maybe they will appear against your faith. Maybe you simply will not agree.

That’s fine. I encourage debate. I welcome debate.

Until then:

Don’t Over-Think Things

Life is can be tough at times.

We encounter problems on a daily basis. Late on rent. Overweight. Relationship problems.

We all face adversity.

But in those moments, don’t lose hope in yourself. Don’t let your thoughts lock you up.

Don’t overthink things.

Stay inspired. Stay motivated. Stay focused on your goals. This is not the end. There is so much to life, than just that one moment that has you down. Always look toward the brighter picture.

By embracing optimism, you start the path toward success. While on that path, don’t be afraid to acknowledge that problems will yet again arise.

They will.

They always do. But in the face of adversity, don’t forget how strong you are. You are capable of so much more than you will ever be able to conceive. You have a spark within you, and that spark can influence not just your strength, but the strength inside everyone around you.

So when you feel down, or depress, or hopeless, look within yourself and tap into your spark. You are the change that the world needs, and you are very capable. Never give up.

Stay inspired!

New Beginnings

Life routinely challenges us. Not a day goes by without some assortment of unforeseen circumstances, and it is in those moments where we must use what we know and have to get through our daily challenges. In those moments, many are fortunate enough to have the aid and assistance of close friends and families; close bonds built over the years that serve to get many through their challenges.

But even in a person’s solitude do they not have to falter. It just so happens that sometimes we fail. I myself have tried and failed many times. Often times, it can be incredibly frustrating and demoralizing, but it can also be humbling. New challenges arise everyday, and it isn’t always easy to get through them.

It is good to try, and it’s always good to know, that with a new day on the horizon, there are always more opportunities ahead.

New beginnings are good for us. They are at least good for me. I’ve personally tried many new things: new jobs, new exercises, new recreational activities, and new endeavors. I’ve had my fun times, and I’ve had my miserable experiences. Life lessons come in many sizes and packages, and these daily challenges are there, not to ensure that life is difficult, but because we are often times capable of achieving our goals and many others feats, often beyond even our dreams.

When I started this blog, it was supposed to be for my poetry. But, as time went on, I learned to view love differently, and as my views changed, so did my writing. So I stopped writing poetry, and I very briefly wrote about the world of politics. I’m a novice at blogging, although I’ve had some other blogs. Yet, I embraced the few moments I felt self accomplished in writing about the 2016 election, the president, and recent news.

I’ve sort of taken a step away from that, only briefly. Now I just enjoy having this website, because I can express myself however I see fit. Mecella – The Republic. It seems and sounds cool to me. It may not be my way to make millions, it may not catch on to hundreds of thousands of people. No, it may never make me successful.

It is mine, though. I love it for that. To me, it was a new beginning. There are thousands, hundreds of thousands of websites that have helped people to connect and express themselves. I enjoy the luxury of being able to post what I like, and being able to frame my words how I see fit.

I enjoy that this blog of mine is an entirely new beginning for me.

So, how far will I take it? Where do I go from here? Will I say something groundbreaking someday? Perhaps create a new obsessive trend…

With new beginnings, anything is possible. I’ll try to do something great, like that of so many other awesome people out here. Briefly, I should say that there are many inspiring people in the world. Many are my family, many are friends or associates I have met over my brief period of work history. Many are teachers, whom I believe to be the world’s greatest influences.

Go into the world, and accomplish what you’ve set out to do. Work hard at it, and don’t be afraid to reach out. Even if you’re at it alone, don’t give up on yourself.

If you falter, don’t hate yourself for too long. It is only natural that we will at times not be successful. Embrace new days. Embrace new beginnings.

American Politics Is Becoming Disheartening

While it grows to unite us, it tears us a part. The divisiveness of it all has become overtly disheartening. There are factions who want more for Americans, to include more healthcare and more education, and there are those who oppose those views, arguing that it would bankrupt the entire country. Some argue for a socialist agenda, others argue for capitalism to continue to reign supreme.

In the midst of all of the arguing and debate, The American citizen suffers. Their suffering, our suffering, it transcends just physical pain. It is also emotional. The imagery we see from neighboring states, the rhetoric of elected politicians, and our military involvement around the world can at times be too much for some Americans to stomach. For others, there isn’t enough defense spending and citizenry bashing to go around.

We are entering quite trivial times. Our economy may appear to be performing well, but the debt continues to climb. We are treating foreigners seeking asylum like enemy combatants, mobilizing thousands of Active Duty troops to defend us from a faux invasion. Citizens are dying from aid they cannot receive for lack of healthcare. Teenagers are signing their lives away to ever growing college tuition rates. The Government says that climate change is real, and that it will impact us all if we do not change our ways, and The President of The United States, Donald Trump, discredits it. He doesn’t believe it. At all.

We live in incredibly disheartening times. Of course, we will continue to be our best in this world. Many will suffer daily, and some will be successful. Others will aspire for success, while battling life’s many obstacles. The Republican narrative is that “hand outs” are a really bad thing, but many Americans are suffering beyond repair. Perhaps a hand-out wouldn’t suffice.

“The American Dream is dead.”

-Donald John Trump, 45th President of The United States of America

Immigration into The U.S.

Caravan of immigrants traveling with the promise of entering the U.S.

The United States now remains split on immigration policies. Republicans led by Donald Trump argue that immigration is a problem, and that it has led to illegal immigrants effecting our laws. Recently Republicans passed a measure prohibiting non-citizens to vote in U.S. elections, as there is a growing fear that immigrants are illegally voting. That was a major consensus by now President Trump after losing the 2016 popular vote to former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

President Trump ran on the proposal of a massive border wall, a protective measure he feels is necessary to keep out illegal immigrants. He ran most of his campaign on the promise of building the wall, but although his resolve for the issue remains the same, funding for the wall remains gridlocked as Democrats unanimously voice against its creation, and Republicans fall short of coming up with a way of paying for it. The nearly 1000 mile long border wall could end up costing the U.S. $18 billion dollars.

Just this week, sentiments have been expressed in regards of the massive group of people now traveling across Mexico with the hopes of reaching the United States. Republicans are arguing that this is an overall atrocity, some stating that no one has a right to enter the U.S., while President Trump declares the migrating group of foreigners a National Emergency, cautioning the Military and further expressing the group of migrant’s countries of origin that all aid will be stopped because of the massive caravan heading toward the United States.

While Democrats argue that the president is fear mongering when discussing the caravan of immigrants, the republican controlled government stands united with the argument that immigrantion is not a right and that something has to be done about the oncoming group of migrants, and immigration as a whole.

Nuclear Arms: The United States and Russia Made a Deal.

The United States of America and The Union of Soviet Socialists Republics (USSR) were nations who had known the effects of war. They both were participants of WWII, and both of their military might combined, coupled with the efforts of various other nations, helped to take down the axis powers and defeat Nazism from taking over Europe. What sprung from WWII was another test of might, one that would last decades up until December 5th, 1994, a war The USA and Russia will always be known for. The Cold War. This decades long display of nuclear power created an instability in the world, and although neither country formally attacked the other, the threat of nuclear war greatly loomed over both nations. Today, both the USA and Russia are a part of a Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, also known as S.T.A.R.T., which ultimately led to an armistice between the two powerful nations which led to the end of the Cold War.

It appears things may soon change.

A call to the end of the armistice between Russia and The USA appears to be President Trump’s latest battle cry, and it comes in the wake of many other events taking place in the political spectrum. Russia has been accused of meddling in the 2016 Presidential election by The Democrats and other government officials, and while many republican officials refuted the notion, to include President Trump, now President Trump himself is accusing Russia of attempting to interfere with the 2018 midterm elections.

At this point, it is tough to understand what will come next. A pullout from this armistice with Russia, because they are indeed testing long range nuclear missiles, may perhaps ultimately mean that The USA will now continue to embark on tests as well. It wasn’t too long ago that world leaders were arguing for an end to nuclear weapons altogether (this argument still exists), but this latest move by President Trump may be an inadvertent show of strength. Perhaps before his time is up as President, he will enact an agenda to institute more nuclear armament testing, unlike the world has ever seen before. One thing is true, and it is that President Trump does not like to be outdone. He likes his stuff bigger, and he likes his stuff better.

We may be witnessing the start of a new nuclear arms race.
